About Abstract

Our mission statement is simple; “Awesome entertain with LED.” Abstract are true lighting pioneers designing innovative lighting for over two decades and our founder, Steve Watts, has been responsible for some of the worlds most exciting entertainment lighting effects. His career follows a truly extraordinary path of innovation, design and pioneering extravagance. 1990 was the official launch date of Abstract design to light, this was the name of the company from the start until it’s incorporation in 2003 with the focus on mobile DJ lighting being the passion of the company. By the late 90′s, Abstract had strong brand awareness with products like the Twister being as famous as Hoover within the entertainment industry. The year 2000 was a magnificent year with turnover and profits hitting an all time high. Steve Watts, along with his team, developed their way in to the world entertainment arena whereby most of the world effects lighting had some form of resemblance to Abstract core design. The company was simply epic in this era with sales reaching global dynamics.

Abstracts long awaited return to their grass roots of entertainment lighting begins with a brand new product, a revolutionary slant on the traditional effects lights of the 90′s. 2012 promises to be an entertaining year of entertainment effects supercharged with latest innovation from Abstract the small club giants.

Abstract welcome your input and design ideas. We are offering £250 for designs accepted for further development and £2500 for designs that enter our stable yard of exciting LED entertainment lighting. Further details of how to enter, coming soon!

2011 Abstract launch a brand new product!

Abstracts 2011 revolution begins with the first of a series of light to be launched soon. The light innovates beyond belief leaving no stone un-turned. This effect will simply blow your mind with Abstract’s visionary software being at the heart of the design. This will be the lightshow.

Our mission statement is simple. We are here to entertain with LED. If the product doesn’t entertain then it will not make the production lines. The last few years, Abstract have entered new lighting markets and made major advances in LED technology however the excitement and passion has been restricted. This is about to change with the separation of entertainment LED. Now, all corporate LED is being branded under the AVR logo and Abstract has been given the green light to play with LED and excite our customers with extraordinary lighting designed for one purpose and that is simply “to be awesome entertainment LED”.
